Scheme: GAL Majjistral Open Calls

Measure 1: RESTORATION OF ASSETS AND SITES OF ARTISTIC AND CULTURAL VALUE
The general aim of this measure is to invest in the cultural and historical heritage of the territory to develop the touristic product of the area. The purpose is to support the one-time restoration of small-scale sites and objects of artistic, cultural and historical importance to develop opportunities for educational and tourism activities.
The specific objective of this measure is to, by the end of the applicable programming period, improve the economic and environmental performance of the LAG territory through projects resulting in the restoration of artefacts and small-scale sites that have a historical and cultural link to the territory, as well as proven tourism potential and educational value.
Measure 2: STRENGTHENING A HEALTHY CULTURAL IDENTITY
The overall objective of this measure is to strengthen a healthy cultural identity in the rural community and to improve the quality of life of people living in rural areas by providing
improved and easier access to high-quality cultural and social activities as a means for personal development, expression, and entertainment.
The specific objective is, by the end of the applicable programming period, to improve the social performance of the Majjistral Region through actions leading resulting in improved/upgraded cultural activities and/or development of new activities and in increased participation to the cultural activities.
Measure 3: PROMOTION OF THE CULTURAL HERITAGE
The scope of this measure is to invest in the marketing and promotion of the unique cultural and natural heritage of the rural areas to continue to develop the tourism product.
The specific objective of this measure is, by the end of the applicable programming period, to improve the economic performance of the Majjistral Region through the implementation of projects in cultural and eco-tourism marketing and promotion.
Measure 4: DEVELOPMENT OF GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE
The general aim of this measure is to invest in green infrastructure of the Majjistral territory as a means to develop the touristic product of the area. The purpose is to support the development of green infrastructure within the territory through the management and protection of biodiversity in rural areas and embellishment of open spaces.
The specific objective of this measure, by the end of the applicable programming period, is to improve the environment performance and quality of life of communities through the development/ improvement of green infrastructure in projects leading to the enhancement and greening of open spaces within the territory which are freely accessible to the public.

Measure 1 capping: Actions for the restoration of one small- scale site shall be capped at a total eligible capping of 40,000 EUR whilst actions for the restoration of two or more sites shall be capped at a total eligible cost of 80,000 EUR; actions for the restoration of objects shall not exceed a total eligible cost of 20,000 EUR whilst actions for the restoration of multiple artefacts (3 or more objects) which by themselves form a historic/cultural trail, shall be capped at a total eligible cost of 50,000 EUR.
Measure 2 capping: €60,000 for major investment, which includes major infrastructural works; €20,000 for smaller scale investments; and €10,000 for events
Measure 3 capping: Individual actions shall be capped at 10,000 EUR for stand-alone/isolated operations, and at 18,000 EUR for actions involving joint collaboration which may result in tours and trails involving at least 2 different actors.
Measure 4 capping: The total allocated funds for this call is set at €92,495.06 even if the maximum grant support for each project is capped at €100,000.

Introduction: The Business Development Scheme aims to facilitate value-added projects, including new business initiatives, start-up, expansions and transformation activities that contribute to the regional development of Malta.

Scheme: Business Reports for SMEs

Introduction: This Grant Scheme seeks to support SMEs through the provision of non-repayable Grants in the form of a lump sum to part- finance a business report procured from external Consultancy Service Providers which are registered with the IB and which are autonomous and unrelated to the Beneficiary Undertaking.
Intended Beneficiaries:
A micro, small or medium-Sized Enterprise or self-employed having no more than 250 staff headcount with a turnover of not more than €50 million or a balance sheet total of not more than €43 million.

Scheme: CAP SP I73.5.1 – On-Farm Productive Investments (for projects with a total cost of more than €30,000).

Introduction: The On-Farm Investment Intervention tied to on-farm productive investments aims to fund investment in agricultural holdings including, inter alia, best available techniques to address production, environmental and health issues including precision farming, modern pesticide management solutions, irrigation systems, detection of diseases in crops and livestock, farm waste management, focusing on the entire territory of Malta.

Scheme: CAP SP I75.1- Setting Up of Young Farmers.

Introduction: The intervention is designed to support young farmers by addressing significant barriers they face in starting or expanding agricultural ventures. It provides targeted financial support through a lump-sum payment of up to €100,000 per young farmer. This financial
support enables eligible young farmers to either establish new agricultural businesses or take over existing holdings, thereby helping them overcome initial challenges. The goal of this intervention is to create a more attractive, innovative, and efficient agricultural sector by making it easier for young farmers to enter and succeed in the agricultural sector.
